About this place
Tucked into Minami-Ikebukuro and lit from 19:00, Hidamari is a karaoke bar suited both to quiet evenings nursing a glass and lively nights built around music. The back bar makes an immediate impression with a substantial lineup, spanning Scotch single malts, bourbons, Irish whiskeys, and Japanese labels. Guests can sip characterful pours like Talisker 10 Year Old or Bowmore 12 Year Old as straight shots, or pivot to mixed drinks such as a gin and tonic, Moscow Mule, or El Diablo according to mood.
A focused bar-bites menu supports the drinking, offering oil sardines, mixed cheese plates, dried fruit, and mixed nuts. Beer drinkers can order medium bottles of Sapporo Lager "Akaboshi," making it simple to pace an evening from an easy first toast through late-night pours.
Visits are structured around a cover charge. Karaoke is available on a pay-per-song basis for 1 track at a time, or through an all-you-can-drink plan that bundles shochu, whisky, and soft drinks with singing. Bottle-keep service is also supported for settling in regularly, allowing the counter to comfortably host both solo drinkers unwinding alone and small groups singing together.
